Day 01: Arrival at Kochi

Transfer to the hotel. Tour the city and enjoy a Kathakali performance in the evening

Day 01: Kochi – Guruvayoor (105 km)

Drive to Guruvayoor to visit the elephant hospital.

Day 03: Guruvayoor- Calicut (125 km )

Morning drive to Calicut where you can visit Kappad and the shipbuilding centre of Beypore.

Day 04: Calicut – Mysore (215 km)

Drive to Mysore, erstwhile capital of the Wodeyar rulers, famous for its silks and sandalwood.

Day 05: Mysore

A day’s excursion takes you to Belur and Halebid

Day 06: Mysore -Chennai

You have the morning at leisure before boarding the Shatabdi Express to Chennai.

Day 07: Chennai – Mahabalipuram (60 km)

After a morning’s sightseeing in the city, drive to the 7th century coastal town of Mahabalipuram.

Day 08: Mahabalipuram – Kancheepuram – Pondicherry (110 km)

En route Pondicherry, stop at Kancheepuram renowned for its hand-woven silk fabrics.

Day 09: Pondicherry-Chidambaram- Tanjore (180 km)

Driving to Tanjore in the morning, stop at the 40-acre temple-complex at Chidambaram.

Day 10: Tanjore – Trichy – Tanjore

Morning excursion to Trichy, India’s largest artificial diamonds manufacturing centre. Afternoon visit to Tanjore, the capital of the Chola Empire.

Day 11: Tanjore – Madurai (180 km)

Morning drive to Madurai en route Chettinad. Lunch at Bangla, a Heritage home.

Day 11: Madurai – Periyar (150 km)

Tour the city in the morning before proceeding to Periyar wildlife sanctuary.

Day 13: Periyar – Kumarakom (125 km)

Visit a spice plantation before driving to Kumarakom. Lunch en route at Kanjirappaly Plantation Bunglow, a Syrian Catholic home.

Day 14: Kumarakom

Full day at leisure.

Day 15: Kumarakom House Boat

Take an overnight cruise of the back-waters.

Day 16: Houseboat – Kochi (60km)

Disembark and drive to Kochi.

Day 17: Kochi

Transfer to Kochi airport for your connecting flight back home.
