Day 01: Arrival at Kochi
Transfer to the hotel and relax awhile before exploring the city in the afternoon. In the evening you can attend a Kathakali dance performance at a local theatre.
Day 02: Kochi- Munnar (135 km)
In the morning drive past lakes, reservoirs, forests and tea estates up to the hill station of Munnar. You can take a safari to Eravikulam National Park and visit a tea Factory.
Day 03: Munnar - Periyar (120 km)
After breakfast drive to South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary on the beautiful man-made Periyar Lake. The evening boat cruise allows you to view the animals at close quarters.
Day 04: Periyar - Kumarakom (125 km)
Visit a spice plantation before leaving for Kumarakom in the morning. En route lunch at Kanjirapally Plantation Bungalow, a Syrian Catholic Heritage Home.
Day 05: Kumarakom - House Boat
Board a house boat, a converted kettuvallom or traditional rice barge, at noon for an overnight cruise of the backwaters for an intimate glimpse of village life in Kerala.
Day 06: House Boat - Marari (15 km)
Your kettuvallom gets to Alleppey about 10 am. From here you drive to Marari, a tiny fishing village that has one of the best beaches in Kerala.
Day 07: Marari
A full day to relax on the beach or enjoy the famous Kerala Ayurvedic massage.
Day 08: Departure from Kochi (90 km)
Transfer by road to Kochi airport for your connecting flight onward.
