Day 01: Arrival at Kochi
Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, tour the city visiting the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets. Evening attend a Kathakali dance performance.
Day 02: Kochi – Guruvayoor (110 km)
Stop at Kalamandalam, the centre for traditional Indian performing arts, en route Guruvayoor where you visit the elephant hospital.
Day 03: Guruvayoor – Wayanad (180 km)
Drive to the mist clad mountains and sylvan valleys of Wayanad in the morning to stay at a Tree House amidst 500 acres of pristine, tropical rainforest.
Day 04: Wayanad – Calicut (65 km)
Journey to Calicut after breakfast. In the afternoon visit Beypore, a small coastal town renowned as a shipbuilding center.
Day05: Calicut – Cherai (170 km)
The morning’s drive gets you to Cherai where the lovely beach bordering the Vypeen Island is ideal for swimming.
Day 06: Cherai – Kumarakom (90 km)
After the drive to Kumarakom; a day at leisure.
Day 07: Kumarakom – House Boat
At noon, embark on an overnight cruise of the backwaters on a converted kettuvallom or traditional rice barge.
Day 08: Departure from Kochi
Transfer to Kochi airport for your connecting Flight onward.
