Mishmi hills, the dream birding spot in North Eastern Himalayan region, especially amongst nature and Wild life photographers comes under the Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh. This mystic valley is named after the Dibang river which originates in China. Our 5 nights 6 days trip to the Mishmi Hills will take you to different avian habitats in various altitudes such as Tropical evergreen, Tropical-semi evergreen , Sub-alpine Woody Shrub, Alpine Widow, Bamboo and grassland etc.
Mishmi Hills is home for around 650 species of birds. It is Asia’s one of the least explored areas and scientists believes that many species of birds are yet to be discovered.
Our key targets include: Blyth’s Tragopan, Chestnut-breasted Partridge, Rufous-necked Hornbill, Pale-capped Pigeon, Ward’s Trogon, Dark-sided Thrush, Green and Purple Cochoa, Rusty-bellied and Gould’s Shortwing, Beautiful Nuthatch, Rusty-throated and Wedge-billed Wren Babbler, Fire-tailed Myzornis, at least four Parrotbill species, Black-headed Greenfinch, Scarlet Finch, and Grey-headed Bullfinch and many more.

Day 1
Arrive Diburgah ( DIB ) in the morning . We will pick you up from the airport and drive you to the base camp at Mishmi Hills ( 4 Hours ). We may stop en-route for birding. Night at Mishmi Hills camp.
Day 2,3,4,5
We will explore different avian habitats in the Mishmi Hills for quality photos and observation. We will explore these remote Himalayas ranges for next 4 days from the lower flood plains at 150 meters to Mayodia Pass at 2655 meters searching for many rare and difficult to see species. We may have to do many to and fro trips and be ready for hours of waiting in the bush for a difficult to see bird to show up and capture the moment on the camera. Our day itineraries may change as per the sighting reports we get from our local spotters and weather conditions.
