Delhi + Khajuraho + Agra + Jaipur
Day 1: Arrive Delhi (by International flight)
Upon arrival in Delhi you will be meeting our English speaking airport representative who will greet you and assist you for transfer from airport to hotel.
Day 2: Delhi city tour
Today after buffet breakfast in hotel we will proceed for Delhi city tour along with the professional guide who will give you detailed information about our country and each monument which you will visit.
The tour will start from Old Delhi which was also known as Shahjehanabad. You will visit here the Jama Masjid built by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan who was famous for building beautiful mosques. Later drive past through the magnificent Red Fort.
Optional tour in Old Delhi along with guide: You can hire a rickshaw and drive through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi experiencing the day to day life of localites. Here you can also taste few of the famous Old Delhi delicacies including some sweets and beverages.
Now we will proceed towards New Delhi where we will first pay homage to Father of the Nation ‘MAHATMA GANDHI’ at the Rajghat. Later we will visit Humayun’s Tomb seeing which you will think it’s replica of Taj Mahal. Then we will visit India Gate and President’s house (from outside only).
Finally we will then reach world famous monument and the most visited monument of India ‘Qutub Minar’. When there were no cranes and lifts, at that time this huge and tall beautiful structure was built which will really make you amazed.
Later our guide will transfer you back to you hotel.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Delhi to Jhansi (by train at 0600 hrs / 1045 hrs. + drive to Khajuraho (drive time approx. 04 hours for 178 kms)
Early morning transfer to New Delhi railway station for boarding the train for Jhansi. Upon arrival in Jhansi our driver will meet and greet you at railway station and then you will drive to Khajuraho. Enroute you will visit Orchha where you will visit the popular temples such as the Ram Raja Temple and Chaturbhuj Temple. These temples were built by Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century.
Later continue the drive to Khajuraho. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Khajuraho sightseeing + drive to Jhansi and board the train for Agra at 1840 hrs. and will reach Agra at 2110 hrs.
After breakfast pay a visit to the Western Group which has 14 temples including Kandariya Mahadeo, Lakshmana, chaunsath Yogini, Parvati, Varaha, Vishvanath and Nandi, Chitragupta, and Devi Jagdamba.
Later drive back to Jhansi for boarding the train for Agra. Upon arrival at Agra station you will be transferred to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 5: Agra city tour
After breakfast proceed to visit Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). Last visit Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah.
Optional activity in Agra: Today if you like you can go for a stage show performance ‘Mohabbat e Taj’ in evening.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 6: Agra / Jaipur (enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri, drive time approx. 5 hours for 250 kms)
After early breakfast we will drive to Agra enroute visiting world’s famous heritage city built by Mughal emperor Akbar known as ‘Fatehpur Sikri’ which have unbelievable architecture and designing.
Later visit Abhaneri (sleep well).
Upon arrival in Jaipur check in at hotel.
Day 7: In Jaipur
After early breakfast we will proceed to the famous ‘Amber Fort’ which is built on a high hill and the options to ride are elephants or jeeps.
The fort is the major tourist attraction of Jaipur and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Built of red sandstone and marble, the fort flaunts a wonderful blend of Hindu and Rajput style of architecture.
Later visit The City Palace having massive courtyards, verdant gardens and other wonderful monuments, the world heritage site Jantar Mantar or we say it Observatory. In the evening, indulge in shopping at the local bazaars.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Jaipur / Delhi
After breakfast we will drive back to Delhi and directly transfer to international airport for flight to onwards destination.
